Individual Transport

IMG_5160Individual Transport is provided for eligible people to medical facilities for appointments such as doctor, hospital, dentist, counselling, physiotherapy, pathology etc.

Locations
Transport is provided to regional centres such as Wagga, Canberra, Orange, Goulburn, Bathurst, Albury and Sydney.
Transport is also provided to clients living in the shires of Young and Boorowa, to allow them access to shopping, medical appointments, social and business activities when vehicles are available.

Requirements
Clients must be able to get in and out of the car without assistance and manage alone or with a carer during their appointment.
Due to the nature of the service on most occasions there will be more than one client travelling to a destination. Clients will need to be patient and willing to wait for other appointments to be finalised.

Bookings IMG_5172 (2)
Preference is given to people attending essential appointments, usually medical, and as such we will not always be available to offer transport to other destinations.
Bookings for the service are essential and trips should be booked as far in advance as possible.
Staff make every attempt to assist with bookings at short notice but limited resources in both vehicles and volunteers drivers can sometimes result in the service being unable to fulfill requests at short notice.

Veterans Affairs and Insurance Transport
Our organisation has negotiated an agreement enabling Veterans’ Affairs clients to use our services to and from medical appointments.Eligible veterans holding a gold card can be transported to medical appointments only with no expense. If you are eligible a form will be given to you to be completed and returned to the driver for processing by our office. The form will then be sent to Department of Veterans Affairs for re-imbursement for the transport.

We can also supply transport for insurance travel, if your insurance provider has approved the arrangement.
